  • In the logo this contrasts the bold letters replicating sunflower seeds, igniting the prospect of growth, evolution & community spirit.

  • The two ‘O’s face each other but shaped the phases of the moon, reminiscing feminine friendships.

  • Illustrations & color palette both shout out the vibrancy of a sunflower as well as use it as a non-mascot, face of the brand.

The Sunflowers Co. was started out by Anita & Ally Friedman, two single mothers in 2020 after the lockdown led them to witness how vulnerable single mothers can be. The name is derived from the scientific research that suggests sunflowers that don’t get enough light turn towards each other to receive their photosynthesis requirement—like mothers needing a village to help raise a child. An app & website designed as a subscription service, it offers single mothers the power back to their lives with the first choice itself: household assistance &/or baby-related care. In multiple packages, with various personalizations mothers can opt for anything from a daily aid upto an annual one. Eventually, they hope to broaden the horizons of single mothers into thriving beyond motherhood.
